A 16-million-view clip seemed to show McDonald's CEO Chris Kempczinski barely able to eat his own Big Arch burger. His explanation is charmingly mundane — his mother's table manners — and there's no evidence the hesitation was about the food at all.

The moment, fact-checked

Reel posted Feb 4, 2026; viewed over 16 million times
Viewers mocked the tiny bite and silent chewing
He answered in a Wall Street Journal interview
"I blame it all on my mom" became his closing line
He denied rumors he's secretly vegetarian
